I have worked in financial services for almost ten years, initially for a large corporate in 2012 before switching to a local brokerage in 2015. I started Evoke Mortgages in 2021 when I found out that I was going to be a dad for the first time.
WHAT DO YOU FIND MOST REWARDING ABOUT BEING A MORTGAGE ADVISOR?
I feel lucky to be able to help people at such an important time in their lives, as well as meeting lots of new and interesting people. I enjoy keeping up to date with all the latest market developments and legal changes and helping match clients to the product that’s just right for them.
IF I WASN’T A MORTGAGE BROKER, I WOULD BE…
My main passion outside of work (and football) is cooking. If it weren’t for the unsocial hours, I would have been a chef. My signature dish is Beef Wellington.
WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
I’m a huge Charlton Athletic fan but don’t get to see them very often because I’m a goalkeeper for a local football team. You will often find me in the local pub with my partner, Frankie, enjoying a gin and tonic.
FAVOURITE FOOD:
I love Indian food – the hotter the better. I have been known to devour leftover Vindaloo for breakfast!
FAVOURITE DESTINATION:
I love to visit Rhodes every few years. It’s a beautiful island with incredible history and scenery, and the food is always fantastic.
OFFICE ASSISTANTS, BUDDY & HONEY:
As far as I’m concerned, every office should have a cat. My office has two! Buddy and Honey are brother and sister, and they certainly play-fight like siblings. What they lack in professionalism and knowledge of mortgages they make up for in friendliness.
